Egg-Man and several Goons are at the docks, waiting on a shipment. Egg-Man looks out at the water, professional, paying attention to the task. The gang of Goons, though, are looking at / accosting him.
### Panel 1:\ Goon: There’s no way his death was an accident!
| Goon: This is too many coincidences!
| Egg-Man: Leave it, children…
| Goon: Charlie ain’t doing nothing?!
| Goon: And today’s my birthday! And he ain’t done nothing for that, either!
### Panel 2:
Same as Panel 1 except for one thing.
| Egg-Man: I said leave it! We’ve got a job to do, now keep watch for that shipment!
| Goon: Somebody said the boss is too tired to go to war, he just doesn’t feel like it!
| Goon: Is Charlie gettin’ lazy in his old age?
| Goon with a Ponytail Who Suddenly Appeared: Maybe that’s why he’s selling the business to a New York syndicate.
### Panel 3:
Kate is gone again. Same as Panel 1 again—except everyone’s face is much more outraged.
| Goon: What?!
\ Goon: Charlie’s cutting and running?!
\ Goon: Doesn’t anybody want to wish me a happy birthday?!
\ Egg-Man: I don’t know where that rumor started, but that’s all it is! A rumor!
| Goon: After all our years of loyalty?! He’s taking a buyout?!
| Goon: Just like my ex-husband!
| Goon: Sing it with me!
### Panel 4:
Charlie’s office. He’s at his desk signing a birthday card, looks up at a sound coming from out the window…
| Crowd Outside (off-panel) (chanting): Revolution! Revolution! Revolution! Revolution!
| Charlie: Not a-gain…
